Roman road (Healey)

A Roman road is said to run alongside the Minsteracres estate. One of the boundary walls has some Roman stones built into it and near the crossing of the Stocksfield Burn to the north, are traces of a fortlet. The road seems to head for Broomhaugh and Dere Street.
N9833
Roman (43 to 410)
