Medieval Road (Blanchland)

This is the course of a medieval road running between Hexham and the abbey at Blanchland. The present road is of 19th century date. The medieval road runs along the track from the plantation of conifers of Staley Forest. It then crosses Blanchland Moor and follows Shildon Burn.
