Thrunton (Whittingham and Callaly)
This is the site of the deserted medieval village of Thrunton, first recorded in 1266. An area of earthworks, possibly the remains of early buildings, have been noted to the east of the modern farmhouse. There are also the remains of an area of ridge and furrow.
