Callaly Castle electric power house (Whittingham and Callaly)

This power house originally contained equipment which provided lighting and power for the sawmill, pumphouse, electric lift and organ at Callaly Castle. The equipment was built by Drake and Gorman in about 1890 but has now been removed; some was given to the National Trust at Cragside. This is a very early example of a power house built for private use.
