Hadrian's Wall (Whittington)

This stretch of Hadrian's Wall runs between Sunnybrae and Haltonchester fort. The wall is buried beneath the modern B6318 road, though it can be seen as a bank of rubble at Down Hill. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
