Aydon Quarry lime kiln (Corbridge)

Ruinous lime kiln. Only one small section of pot remains, the remainder is a grassed mound. The quarry lies in a plantation. (Plantation marked on OS 6 inch 1966 at Aydon Quarry at NZ 009662). (1)

A post medieval lime kiln is visible as a structure on air photographs at NZ 0104 6716. The kiln has been levelled on the latest 1990 Ordnance Survey vertical photography. (2)
