Heir's House (Elsdon)
Ruined farmstead and remains of outhouses, sod casts and stone dykes. Earliest recorded date and references to Harehouse in 1618 Rental; 1673-1775 Elsdon Parish Registers; 1731 Elsdon Inclosure Award; 1769 Armstrong's map; 1866 OS map; but not marked on 1898 OS map. The stone has been removed by Mr Armstrong of High Carrick. (1)
Post-medieval farmstead associated with enclosure walls. (2)
Earthworks of a rectangular building known as Heir's House and adjacent small enclosures are visible on lidar imagery. Earthworks correspond with the site as shown on Ordnance Survey 1st edition map; the house is not shown on subsequent Ordnance Survey maps. (3)
