Ravens Cleugh defended settlement (Elsdon)
Ravens Cleugh is said to be the site of a Roman period farmstead. It is described as an earthwork in the 1940s but since that time it has not been located. However, a small settlement has been seen on an aerial photograph in 1992 and may be the same site.
