This is the site of an Iron Age hillfort and an earthwork standing on a rocky hill above Hepple. The fort is surrounded by a rampart and a ditch. The rampart is varies in height, and in places is over 2m high. In some places the remains of a supporting stone wall can also be seen. The two entrances to the fort have outward-turning earth banks on either side. The remains of at least two hut circles can be seen
