Burnt mound, 1km north-east of Quarry House (Bavington)

(Marginal) A tumulus, the original course of the Throckrington Burn was to the east of it. (1)

NY 96918056 Circular tumulus, 11m in diameter with a maximum height of 1.5m; the construction is of earth with a few stones visible. There is an irregular shaped depression in the centre. (2)

As described above. Surveyed at 1/2500. (3)

NY 9692 8055. Burnt mound 1km NE of Quarry House. Scheduled RSM No 21030. A prehistoric burnt mound, roughly oval in shape, measuring 13m by 12m and up to 1m high. It has a level top and there are traces of a kerb of burnt stones around the summit; other burnt stones are eroding from the mound into the stream at its edge. (4)
