Bronze Age cairn at Catcherside (Kirkwhelpington)
Over 3000 years ago, in what archaeologists call the Bronze Age, people buried their dead in stone-lined cists inside cairns. This cairn is located between Catcherside and Chesters Farms. The cairn was robbed in the 19th century. Two pots found inside are now in the British Museum.
