The Ropery (Hexham)
This building was a rope-making workshop built about 1800. It is a nearly 100m long, but only 4-5m wide. It has now been divided into several sections and is used for other purposes. When it was first built it had no roof, though it had been covered over by 1860. It is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
