Warden Hill (Warden)
This is an Iron Age hillfort which stands on the summit of Warden Hill. It has wide views in all directions and stands near the junction of the North and South Tyne. The enclosure is roughly circular and in places there are three ramparts and a ditch. A small Roman period settlement overlies the north-western corner of the hillfort. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
