Whitehall Methodist Chapel (Hexhamshire and District)
This is a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, built in 1871 and still in use. The building is rectangular, measures 8.5m long by 6.7m wide and is built of stone. A schoolroom has been added to the south end at a later date. The chapel has a porch over the entrance and an inscribed tablet with the words `WHITE HALL CHAPEL 1871'. Inside the chapel most of the furniture and fittings seem to be original and include a boarded dado, rails with pegs for coats, a dais and communion pew. The stove to heat the building and the organ, or harmonium, have gone and the roof seems to be 20th century. The schoolroom also seem to be unaltered except for the ceiling. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
