Hospital at Elishaw (Rochester and Byrness)
A hospital is first recorded in 1240 and was probably founded by the Umfreville family some time before this date. It went out of use after the mid 16th century but a precise date is not known. There is also no known dedication but it would have served travellers and the poor.
