Bowmont Hill hillfort (Kilham)

A contour hill-fort enclosing an area of 2-1/2 acres. (2)
Listed as a probably pre-Roman univallate earthwork. (3)
Re-surveyed at 1:2,500. The remains of an elongated earthwork, probably a ridge fort, sited along the axis of a steep ridge. Approaches at either end are protected by ditches and banks which are apparently unconnected along the crest of the ridge. There are no signs of internal occupation. (4)
