Burial Mound (Wark)
A Bronze Age burial mound was excavated here in 1864-5. It contained a stone-lined coffin containing a pottery vessel with the remains of a cremation. Another contained a pot and a small flint knife. Two other similar graves appeared to be empty. Ploughing has now destroyed the barrow.
