Roman centurial stone, found near Sewingshields School House (Haydon)

A Roman Centurial stone 15ins x 6-1/2ins inscribed COHI TERENTI CANTAB was found in a wall alongside Wade's Road, near the Sewingshields School House. Nearby, was a fragment of stone with an apparent rough inscription. Both stones are now in Newcastle Museum. Sewingshields school is at NY 81256990. (1)
