Oakpool bastle (Allendale)
The bastle forms the south end of a range of later buildings. It has many bastle features, including a boulder plinth, large quoins, and walls between 0.9m and 1m thick. Most of the openings are 18th and 19th century but there are two older blocked slits in the basement and small loop on the first floor.
