Allenheads Chapel (Allendale)
This was the first Wesleyan chapel built in Dirtpot. It was founded in 1834, rebuilt in 1849 and abandoned in 1900. All that remains now are some walls into which a modern garage has been built. The second edition Ordnance Survey map of 1899 shows the chapel as a square building about 12m across with a porch on the north-west side.
