Old Bower post-medieval farmstead, near the Shepherd's Burn, Kielder (Kielder)

Next to the road between Bower and Roughside, on the east bank of the Shepherd's Burn, the remains of a rectangular house, stack stands and lazy beds can be seen as earthworks. Archaeologists think this is Old Bower, a farmstead occupied at some time in the post-medieval period.
