Round cairn 380m north of Codley Gate (Henshaw)

[Area NY 77026694] TUMULUS ? [G.T.] (1)

Between this [Tumulus. NY 76 NE ] and High Shield, there is another very flat mound, which possibly is an ancient tumulus also; it is a little west of the bridle road. (2)

NY 77086681 A ploughed turf-covered artificial mound with maximum height of 0.4m, there are no indications of a ditch or retaining circle. See G.P. AO/56/356/8 for south east aspect. (3)

Correctly described. surveyed at 1:2500. (4)

A low turf-covered mound noted by MacLauchlen as a possible tumulus. The mound is faintly visible on air photographs as a slight swelling of the ground but otherwise lacks coherent form. The surrounding land has been rig ploughed. (6)
