Great Chesters Roman cemetery (Greenhead)

The burial ground of the fort is supposed to have been near the spot called Mill Hill, just west of Walltown Mill, where, in 1817, a great number of stones were dug up, one bearing the figure of a woman. (2)
Area of cemetery attested by finds of tombstones nos 1742, 1746, 1747. (3)
Mill Hill is a featureless area of pasture, centred at NY 70506629. There have been no recent finds. (4)
