Agarshill Fell Limekiln (Plenmeller with Whitfield)

Kiln (disused). (1)

Lime kiln with well-constructed arches and in good condition. There are two draw arches, each with two eyes. The pot has collapsed. (2)

Lime kiln on east bank of Slatequarry Cleugh, Grade II. 19th century. Coursed rubble, brick. Trapezoidal plan with twin elliptical drawing arches, corbelled. Raking buttress to right. Oval brick-lined pot. (3)

Permission to visit as part of the 2000 survey was refused by the owner. (4)

Marked as quarries on 2nd edn mapping. (5b)
