Post-medieval farmstead at Fernie Knowe (Kielder)

People lived in a one or two-roomed cottage at Fernie Knowe at some time in the post-medieval period. The foundations of the cottage can still be seen as earthworks. North of the cottage, the boundary banks of a garth or small field can still be seen today.
