This was the site of a small, temporary Roman army camp. It stands 500m to the south of Hadrian's Wall. It survives well as a series of upstanding earthworks. The camp stands on the top of an east-west ridge and has excellent views of the surrounding areas. It is rectangular in shape and surrounded by a rampart and a ditch. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
