Later prehistoric or Roman period native settlement at Cushat Wood (Longhoughton)
Between 1500 and 4000 years ago, people lived in a rectangular settlement here, surrounded by a ditch. The remains of several round houses can be seen as cropmarks on an aerial photograph.
