Bronze Age barrow burial (Longhoughton)
(NU 22081547). Tumuli, (not mentioned in text). (The plan is obscure, but appears to show a group of three barrows). (1)
NU 22061547 (A). There is only one barrow to be seen in the area concerned, which is in a plantation. It consists of a low mound of earth and stones 17m in diameter and 0.6m high, with a slight hollow in the centre. No trace of outer ditch. Situated on level ground with a slight descent to the south. (2)
NU 21951551 (B). A low truncated stony mound 15.2m in diameter with a maximum height of 0.4m. No ditch or signs of excavation. Possibly one of the tumuli referred to by Bateson. (3)
The probable remains of two round barrows in very poor condition. Surveyed at 1:2500. (4)
