Lindisfarne Castle (Holy Island)
Lindisfarne Castle is a small fort built during the reign of Henry VIII (1509-47) on an outcrop of rock known as Beblowe. It replaced an earlier look-out tower. It was converted into a house in 1902 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. This is a Grade I Listed Building protected by law.
