Mesolithic material from an excavation by F Buckley in early 20th century. Revealed flints immediately above basalt rock. Finds in Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle upon Tyne, accession no 1924.21. (1)
Flints from Budle Crags - 14 microliths, 5 scrapers and 1 burin. (2)
Basalt crags at south end of Budle Bay. Small clusters of flint tools and chippings gathered by Buckley on the crags. In Museum of Antiquities Newcastle, accession nos 1922.26 box 411, 1922.24 box 995 (ex Buckley collection) and 1922.7.1-3, donated by F.Buckley; and British Museum, accession no. 1923.7-6.1,4,5,6,9,16,20.
