A list of 1460 mentions a tower at Hoppen, and the owner Robert Hoppen, was witness to a deed dated 1414. No trace now remains. (1)(2)

There is no trace of this tower in the farm buildings at Hoppen (NU 161306) and insufficient evidence even to site it approximately. (3)

The survey of 1415 says that Rebert Hoppyn held a tower at Hoppen, but the tower is not documented thereafter. Listed by Cathcart King and Dodds. (4a-b)
