Report of Bronze Age burials near Spindlestone Heugh (Easington (Northumberland))
About 60 years ago (c.1833) several interments were found not far from the two camps (NU 13 SE 2 and 5) at Spindlestone (area NU 156337). (1)
They consisted of both inhumation and cremation burials and were associated with Bronze Age sepulchral pottery. (2)
No further information, there are no apparent barrows in the area. (2)
