Report of Bronze Age burials near Spindlestone Heugh (Easington (Northumberland))
Over 3000 years ago, in what archaeologists call the Bronze Age period, people buried their dead in stone-lined cists inside cairns. There are reports of several Bronze Age burials being found here in the 19th century. The location of the burials is unknown, and there is no sign of any cairns here today.
