Watch House (Belford with Middleton)

This building is a watch house built in the graveyard of St Mary's Church. Watch houses were built to shelter guards who had to keep watch for grave robbers, who came to steal the bodies of the dead for use in medical schools. It is a Grade II Listed Building.
