Easington deserted medieval village (Easington (Northumberland))
A village existed at Easington in 1296. By the end of the 18th century, the village was reduced to two farms. Archaeologists call places that were once villages deserted medieval villages. At Easington, earthworks mark the positions of abandoned tofts and crofts.
