Bronze Age finds (Alnwick)
A number of Bronze Age finds were found in 1850 by workmen building the railway line near Alnwick Station. Two gold rings were found, as well as a bronze axe and pot. All these finds are of Bronze Age date. As they were all found together it may mean that they were originally buried together in a grave. The gold rings suggest that this grave must have been of an important person.
