Old Felton now consists of a single farm and two cottages, but there are no traces of depopulation in the vicinity. (2)

Felton Parva, or Superior, was a member of the barony of Mitford. The vill was largely held by Brinkburn Priory in 13th century. Lord Eure owned the vill in 1585. In 17th and 18th centuries owned by the Lisles. Divided in two in 1798 - the west side merged with Swarland and the east with Acton. Only one farm shown on Armstrong's map of 1769.
The medieval settlement is presumed to lie near Old Felton Farm. Ridge and furrow in field to south. (4)
