[NU 00045317] Holy Trinity Church [LB] (site of) [TI]. (1)

Holy Trinity church was probably in existence in 1156. (2)

No demolition date can be found but the present church was begun in 1650 and opened in 1652. (3)

The site falls in the graveyard of the present church. There are no visible remains. (4)

Parish church of Berwick in 1156. In 1648, a brief of Charles I, concerning the building of a new church, says there is only one church in the town (Holy Trinity) and it was 'very little' and 'meanly built'. There is no record of its demolition, but this was presumably 1648-52 when the new church was built. (5)

General association with HER 4132 (Church of the Holy Trinity). (6)
