Quarry Hill Wood lime kiln I, Middleton (Belford with Middleton)
The remains of a lime kiln, in Quarry Hill Wood is known by archaeologists as `lime kiln I'. It was built in the 18th or 19th century. All that can be seen of the lime kiln today is a grassed-over mound surrounded by trees.
