Linshiels stone axe (Alwinton)
A very fine stone celt was found in June 1889 in a grass field at Linshiels on the Upper Coquet above Alwinton. The celt is smooth all over and in perfect condition. It is probably of Felsite; more properly of metamorphosed slate. (1)
