Possible later prehistoric and Roman period features near Bewick Bridge, Lilburn (Tillside)

Small rectilinear single ditched enclosure with opposed entrances at east and west and two associated ring ditches outside the enclosure immediately to the west. (1)

NU 048220. Red Scar Wood cropmarks of a possible unenclosed settlement. (2)

NU 047222. Site 1/2 mile (800m) west of Bewick Bridge. A pentagonal enclosure and three or more circular sites. Lies across the Roman Road (Devil's Causeway). Roman cropmark enclosure. Scheduled ancient monument Northum 548. (3)

Cropmarks of a pit alignment were recorded from the air in 1979 at NU 047226. Nothing visible on aerial photographs. (4)(5a)

NU 047222 Site 0.5 miles (800m) west of Berwick Bridge. (5b)

Scheduled as a Roman enclosure. (5c)
