Blackborough Camp (Cheviotside)

(NU 01962315) Blackborough Camp (Plan shows a circular enclosure of approximately 60m diameter. Siting approximate due to lack of control). (1)

A circular earthwork with single rampart enclosing approximately 3/4 acre. (2)

Type B2 (Forts on high ground less dependent on natural slopes for protection). (3)

Nearly circular, about 70 yards in diameter and fast disappearing under the plough. (4)

The site is freshly ploughed. There are no traces of the earthwork. (5)

Visible on aerial photographs at NU 01912320. (6)
