Whinny Hill stone circle (Tillside)

A stone circle was discovered during a field visit. It measures 5.3m internally and comprises four stones in situ and two sockets. The stones stand c.0.5m high. To the south east there is an outlying stone 34 paces away. (1)

The stone circle was surveyed on 23/7/1995. (2)

A Neolithic stone circle is visible as a structure on air photographs at NU 0934 2752. The feature consists of four standing stones. (4a)
