Kettley Crag (Tillside)

A group of prehistoric cup and ring marks was found at this site in 2001. They are in an unusual position, below a rock overhang. These carvings were probably carved in the early Bronze Age or late Neolithic. The purpose of these motifs is not clear though they may have had a religious function.
