Cup and ring marked rock at Weetwood Bank (Tillside)
A large outcrop of stone at this site has a number of cup and ring marks carved on it. At least 13 individual carvings can be seen on it. These carvings were probably made in the early Bronze Age or late Neolithic. The purpose of these names is not clear though they may have had a religious function. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
