Crawley deserted medieval village (Hedgeley)
A field just east of Crawley farm is called `Old Crawley'. This is the location of the deserted medieval village of Crawley. We know from old documents that Crawley existed in 1291. In 1665, Crawley had six households. By 1719, Crawley was reduced to two households.
