Stone Axe (Ingram)

(NU 042172) A polished stone axe head 15.5 cms long was found in 1951 in the back garden of the third cottage from the east end of the row known as Brandon Farm Cottages, some 300 yds, north of the present course of the River Breamish. Now in the Branton County Primary School. (1)

The finder has now left the area and could not be contacted, but the size of the cottage garden is such that an accurate spot would be NU 04171717. (2)
