The Black Bull Inn (Bowsden)

The Black Bull is suggested to have been built in the last quarter of the 18th century, possibly in the early 1780s. It was then a single storey block of two units with a central chimney stack. In the second half of the 19th century two units were added to the eastern end and the main section was heightened to provide attic bedrooms in about 1900. It was further altered in the later 20th century with box dormers and flat roofed extension. The building was demolished in 2020. (1)
