Grade II* listed building. Sharpe's Folly.
Mid 18th century. Archdeacon Thomas Sharp built this partly to relieve unemployment among masons and partly for use as an observatory and to give a view of the sea. A round tower about 30ft high, rather plain, but good masonry. Should be preserved as a memorial of a famous churchman who left his mark on the county. (2)
