Ryehill pillbox (Whitton and Tosson)

NU 019018 Ryehill pillbox. This pillbox was part of the Coquet Stop Line which extended from Amble to the headwaters of the river Coquet. (1)

Pillbox at NU 019018, Grade II listed building. 1940. Concrete, elongated hexagonal plan. Part of Coquet Line. (2)

Pillbox briefly mentioned under the name Ryehill. (4)

Pillbox; no specification. SW of Thropton. Constructed 1940-1 of concrete and said to be extant, but condition unknown. (5a)

A line of pillboxes was constructed at Carterside, Ryehill and Newtown in Tosson parish, forming part of the Coquet Stop Line. (5b) See HER 13765.

Located south-west of Thropton, but closer to Ryehill and Allerdene, lying due north of the latter, on the west side of a track. (5c)
