Wreighburn House Hospital (Thropton)
A medieval hospital was founded here in the late 13th century. It was closed down during the Dissolution of the monasteries. The site was sold in 1852 and a new house was built, using parts of an earlier 18th century building. The only traces of the medieval hospital are a stone with a cross carved onto it, which stands in the garden.
